Reader accounts
Sign in
Signing in lets you take part in the board. Reader accounts use Google sign-in. You pick a handle the first time.
What signing in gives you
- Upvote items, and say that you used something.
- Rate an item on real, useful, notable and novel, and say why.
- Comment on items and submissions.
- Submit a link to something that shipped.
Karma is the number beside your handle. It is the upvotes other readers give your submissions, plus 2 for each reader who reports using something you submitted. Your own votes do not count. How karma works →
Privacy
The only thing shown publicly is your handle, beside what you write, submit, vote or rate. Your sign-in identity, such as your Google account or email address, is never published.
